What grows next

I built this because I was tired of reposted atrocities that change nothing, and afraid of the apathy that follows. Holding empathy for everyone is painful; refusing to is worse. So I took my broken heart and made it into a garden — a place to watch the world feel, remember, and heal in ecological time. This is what I'm growing, season by season.

Seed

AliveJuly 2026 — shipped

The vessel exists. The record begins.

Seven climates, including Resilience — recovery measured, not just damage

The living record: every daily reading archived, never overwritten

A century of interpretive memory, labeled honestly as interpretation

A methodology that shows its calibration — and admits what this is not

Roots

Growing nowSummer 2026

Trust grows downward first.

Every signal linked to its source — verifiability over vibes

The Spread: the distance between the world’s best and worst day-news. Some days humanity is together; some days it is torn. That, too, is data

One quiet way to act, per wounded region — hand-vetted, never algorithm-chosen

The whole page’s temperature keyed to the world’s state, so a hard day feels different before you read a number

A daily share card — the reading as a dated, beautiful artifact

Rings

PlantedAutumn 2026

Memory becomes visible on the body.

The spiral: one segment per day, growing forever — tree rings for the world

Scars: wounds notch the ring, fade with recovery, but never disappear. Like a leaf marked by sun it cannot un-brown — while still putting out new shoots

The histogram: today’s score against every recorded day, so “unusual” has evidence

Damage against healing: Crisis × Resilience, the chart this whole project argues for

Zones

PlantedWinter 2026–27

One terrarium. Six microclimates.

The world as a single vessel with living zones — a wet mossy corner, a dry rock, a fern bed — each region drawn procedurally from its own scores

Sub-regional weather made visible (the Levant and the Gulf are not one feeling)

Photography as texture inside the drawing, not a repeated backdrop

Depth

Someday2027

The record reaches backward, and inward.

Monthly readings backfilled to 2000 — real archival news, honestly dated

Beyond the anglophone lens: multilingual sources, disclosed and weighed

The mirror: after your tenth visit, the terrarium may ask why you keep checking

How this is made

Built with AI. Designed against its defaults.

An AI reads the news here every day, AI helped write much of the code, and the vessel portraits are AI-made under tight art direction — one world, aging through its states. Disclosed here, because the covenant is honesty, not purity. Everything else resists the machine's defaults: no gradients, no glass-morphism, no sparkle. Type from the printing tradition, grain from film, a palette from the forest floor. Scores you can audit, prompts we version, interpretation labeled as interpretation.

The goal is a tool that feels like it was made by a person who cares — because it was. AI is the labor. Taste is the labor of knowing what not to accept.
